5. I understand and accept that deposits
are not refundable and that lessons are not transferable to
another person.
6. I understand and accept that any cancellations must be
in writing.
7. I understand and accept that in the event of a cancellation,
75% of the total course fee will be refunded.
8. I understand that Mahony
Aviation reserve
the right to cancel flying at any time on safety grounds.
9. I shall not consume ANY alcohol during
or in the 8 hours preceding tuition or be under the influence
or suffering from the effects of excessive alcohol consumption.
10. I understand that I am strongly advised
to take out adequate travel and personal accident insurance
at the time of booking.
11. I will arrive at the course enrolment time and I understand
and accept that late or non-arrival may result in the forfeit
of lessons.
12. I will ensure that any prerequisite
documentation will be made available at the time of course
enrolment.
13. I understand and accept that my eventual
level of competence is mainly dependent on my age & learning
ability and that no guarantee is implied that I will attain
a particular level of flying skill upon completion of any
of the courses.
14. I agree to operate the equipment and act under the instructions
given to me during the course by the instructor(s). I understand
that the instructors’ decision to cease flying or terminate
the course of any student for whatever reason is final and
binding.
15. I agree to abide by the BHPA’s
Rules & Civil Aviation Authority’s Regulations and
I will conduct myself in a responsible and safety conscious
manner at all times during the course.
16. I understand that whilst every conceivable effort is made
by Paul Mahony (trading as Mahony
Aviation) to
reduce all risks to an acceptable level, the flying of paragliders,
paramotors, paratrikes and tandem wings can be a dangerous
activity even when practised by experienced pilots in perfect
weather conditions.
17. Considering that Mahony Aviation
is based in then UK, all matters pertaining to or arising
from a booking and the contractual relationship between the
parties are ruled by UK law.
