About Paragliding | Learn to Paraglide | Equipment | Paragliding Prices

Our Equipment or Yours?

When you start your Paraglider training, you will not need to bring any equipment with you as we will provide everything you need including the latest Ozone wings and Woody Valley harnesses.

You should bring some suitable outdoor clothing such as a windproof jacket, long trousers and some ankle supporting boots - trainers are only suitable if they have ankle support. When training abroad, a sun hat and sunscreen are also strongly recommended.
We will provide you with the rest of your equipment. We firmly believe that you should wait until after your Elementary Pilot Certificate (EPC) course before you decide to purchase your wing, harness and reserve parachute as you will make a much better and more informed choice after talking with your Instructors.

In fact, we often have to tell pilots who buy their equipment first that it is either unsuitable, the wrong size or even dangerous!

PLEASE NOTE:

You should be aware that our Instructors at Mahony Aviation will do everything possible to minimise risk during your training, which includes injury to yourself and damage to our equipment. However these risks can not be negated completely and students / pilots alike who train / fly with us are strongly advised to take out Personal Accident Insurance to cover the risks - not forgetting to inform their insurers of the activity being undertaken.

Furthermore, students / pilots will be asked to provide a Paypal or cash deposit and sign a proforma at the beginning of their training / flying stating that they agree to pay for any damage to any equipment that they are responsible for whilst training / flying and belonging to Mahony Aviation.
